New CA Sales and Use Tax Rates Effective April 1, 2013

Voters approved a number of sales and use tax rate increases effective April 1, 2013. The table below shows the new rate for each of the cities and counties.

New CA Tax Rates - April 1, 2013

** The tax rate within this city limit changes as a result of the county wide tax increase. Note: Williams (Colusa Co) extended its existing tax rate indefinitely. Trinidad (Humboldt Co) extended its existing tax rate to March 31, 2017. Salinas (Monterey Co) extended its existing tax rate indefinitely. Hollister (San Benito Co) extended its existing tax rate to March 31, 2018. Fresno County extended its existing tax rate to March 31, 2029.

Please make sure to update your accounting application tax tables after close of business on 3/31/2013 if your tax tables are maintained manually.
