For many users, it's the new wildcard search capability. You can now type a % wildcard directly into searchable fields, like customers, vendors, Bill To fields, and dimensions, without opening the Find window first. For example, entering ‘%air’ will immediately return matching records.
It sounds like a small change, but if you've ever known part of a customer or vendor name without remembering the whole thing, you'll notice the difference right away. One of our team members called it a "subtle but huge improvement," and we'd have to agree. After all, employees spend an average of 1.8 hours every day searching for information. Saving even a few seconds every time you search can make a noticeable difference over the course of a week.
Release 2 brings more automation to the refund process. You can now link a customer to a vendor record, allowing Sage Intacct to automatically create the corresponding Accounts Payable bill when issuing a customer refund. You’ll see fewer manual steps, less duplicate entry, and a cleaner audit trail for your finance team.
Sage Intacct’s latest release included a Roles Permission Report that provides a consolidated view of all permissions assigned to a security role. Now, users don’t have to click through multiple screens to see who has access to what and can instead review everything in one report.

This simple Sage Intacct feature obviously has big security gains, but not only that, it saves time when setting up users and assists with troubleshooting access issues and preparing for audits.
Yes! Sometimes even a minor change can make day-to-day life a little better. Release 2 lets you store attachments directly against inventory items, making it easy for your team to find key information as soon as they need it. This update allows everything to stay attached to the inventory record where people can quickly access them in just a few mouse clicks.
Several new management tools have been added in Release 2 that allow users to split assets, reverse depreciation postings, and summarize depreciation postings. This change provides more flexibility when managing assets and reduces the need for tiring workarounds as things change within the business (as they always do).
Out of all the Sage Intacct features, this one is most notable for organizations working across borders and with multiple currencies. The Project Summary View now allows currency selection, which is much more useful for businesses with numerous entities that are operating in different regions.
We’re sure you’re already aware, but better visibility into project data matters, too. According to the Project Management Institute (PMI), organizations waste an average of 10% of every project investment due to poor project performance, often because decisions are based on bad project data. While a currency selector won't solve every reporting challenge, it helps teams look at the right data when making important decisions.
The Sage MCP Server is now out of beta and fully available for everyone to use. For those who don’t know, MCP servers let you connect AI assistants, like Claude, Cursor, or similar tools, directly to Sage Intacct so this means your team can use any of your AI tools with your Sage Intacct data. We should mention that you’ll probably want to involve IT on this though, to make sure security access is appropriate. There are also improvements across several other AI agents & modules.
Not even close. Release 2 includes many additional enhancements, and these highlighted updates are simply the ones that stood out most to us because we think they'll benefit the largest number of our clients.
One of the things we appreciate about Sage Intacct is that each release continues to refine the day-to-day experience. Sometimes the biggest wins aren't major new modules. They're the small improvements that save a few clicks hundreds of times each week.
