Tips For a Successful 2014 Year End with SAGE 300 ERP 6.x (Accpac)
BACK UP, BACK UP, BACK UP and TEST your database. Confirm the data is readable and that the backup was successful befpre performing any Year End Closing tasks.
DOUBLE CHECK your General Ledger settings. Any fiscal sets and transactions that are older than the number of years noted will be deleted. This setting can be found in your [General Ledger] >[ Setup Options]
IMPORT YOUR BUDGET easily into the General Ledger using an Excel Spreadsheet.
PREPARE YOUR 1099'S and print them from the Accounts Payable module.
WHAT VERSION AND SERVICE PACK ARE YOU USING? Closing Procedures can vary depending on the version of Sage 300 ERP (Accpac) you’re currently running. This was writtten for SAGE 300 ERP 6.X (Accpac), so be sure to check your version number and service pack before starting year end.
CREATE A NEW FISCAL CALENDAR before enterting any new transactions for 2015.
CHECK DATA RETENTION SETTINGS Historical data is retained, based on the version you’re running and the settings you’ve configured in each module. Double check your settings so you don’t lose important data during year end close.
